When you schedule your
DOT physical either online or by phone, you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment. Within that email you will receive easy-to-follow directions to our office.
When you arrive at your appointment, you'll need to present your driver's license to the support staff and complete the brief health history questionnaire.
Next you'll be asked to give a urine specimen. Note that this is not a drug test - it only checks for any sugar, blood or protein in your urine.
After that you'll be seen by a NRCME doctor who will conduct your DOT physical. The physical will include a vision, hearing, heart, lung check - as well as a review of any health concerns, surgeries and medications.
Once your physical is satisfactorily completed, you'll receive and leave with your laminated medical card.
